This 2 CD-r collection of recordings consists of a few tracks which had been previously released on compilations and special projects, a few new version mixes and unreleased material from 2001 - 2008.

Disc 1

1) Portent (v.2 Omen Mix) - A longer mix. A shorter version was released in 2004 by Sound-o-Mat for their "Music for Seances" series

Texture: a collection of minimal ambient guitar (SloBor Media 2003) http://www.slobormedia.com/

Discussion about Anomalous Disturbances - Archive Two
Marilbine
Anomalous Disturbances "Archive Two" 2 x CDrVancouver based Terrence O'Brien is the sole creator of Anomalous Disturbances and "Archive Two" is marked as his 5th solo release from 2009, covering selected recordings from the period 2001-2008, some of these tracks are previously unreleased, some appear in edited versions and some are taken from various compilation appearances. I must say it's a very nice idea to put all these tracks on one double disc set, a dream of each collector!!! Even if centered around deeper atmosonics, the music of Anomalous Disturbances is quite diverse when crossing through several styles and moods. Disc One floats from deeply organic oriented washes on "Portent (v.2 Omen Mix)" to massive and hypnotic celestials on "The Secret Adam", from flatlined futuristic dronescapes on "Quickenberries" to warmer nostalgic and cinematic "Noodles" and from minimal mysterious experiments on "Everybody's Talkin'v.2" to absolutely tranquil and blissful drifts on 18-minute long "Daydream # 3". That's it for the first part of this collection and I can say that I am absolutely impressed and deeply immersed. Now my expectations are even higher, so let's investigate the second chapter. Disc Two unfolds with ethereal and expansive sound waves of "Sedna", a true deep space voyage! Highly evocative "Low Pulse" keeps on circulating and evolving, just like the next one, darker "Mysterium Tremendum # 23", with its strong submerging effect, quite cinematic too. "Live At Soma Cafe Pt. 2" and "Segue To Heaven" are two beautifully absorbing intergalactic travels while the deeper droning "Space Elevator Muzik" closes nicely this fantastic journey. Yes, I am done with the second CDr and I must say that my best expectations were surpassed. Even if all these pieces have been recorded over differing time span, they all work compactly together. I think Terrence O'Brien's guitar originated virtuoso performance remains still quite unrecognized, so it's time to explore the soundworlds of Anomalous Disturbances, it's highly rewarding!!! Trust me, this is another Canadian ambient must have!!! And while on this exciting journey, don't miss his newest collaborative effort with Matthew Poulakakis entitled Wassonic, released in March 2011.Richard Gürtler (Jul 16, 2011, Bratislava, Slovakia)
