Bliss

excellent companion piece to rome pays off's debut album. the overall sonic landscape here is more similar to the mid-'90s isolationist approach of artists like final, lull, or main - with a tangible menacing feel, minimal pulse-like drones, and spooky melodic lines. the two long tracks are utterly hypnotic, ranging from soft ambient textures to noisy, trebly guitar excursions, while the shorter pieces harken back to rothko's triple bass period. indeed a fine collection of dark ambient soundscapes, and comes definitely recommended.
