"These were original three-track stereo recordings; in SACD surround mode, the music will be heard only from the front left, center and right channels. The second half of this program was originally issued on a record "Festival". Although "Festival" was recorded on three tracks, the Tchaikovsky Marche Miniature did not employ the center track. (No documentation exists to explain this anomaly, but it may have been because the work is scored primarily in the treble register.) Therefore, in surround mode, this one selection will be heard from the front left and right speakers only."SACD Surround Sound requires multi-channel SACD player & compatible surround system.
